Another Great show! Not as busy as last year, but still a good turnout despite the high gas prices and rain on Friday. Overall the weekend was fantastic for March.
This show, I decided to use this cabinet as a 'display only' cabinet to educate new rockhounds and show them what can be found right here in North and South Carolina. Many of them were amazed that they lived so close to these great mineral and gem locations. The case has: Amethyst from Gnat Ridge, Reel Mine and Diamond Hill Mine. Garnets from Little Pine Mine. Sapphires and Rubies from Pacolet, SC, Wood Creek, Chunky Gal, Jacobs Mine, Carpenter's Knob and Propst Farm. Emeralds and Hiddenite from Crabtree Mine and North American Emerald Mines. Smoky Quartz from Sharpes Prospect, Liberty Hill and Greenwood, SC. Beryl and Aquamarine from Ray Mine and Wiseman Mine. Agate from Herbert Mine. Kyanite from Walker Creek and a giant Marble sphere from the Nantahala Gorge sitting off to the left of the case. All self collected by myself and a hand full of my rockhound friends.

Our Revolutionary and Civil War glass did well also. A lot of people are interested in history and the artifacts we had to offer.
